History

1968 Kawasaki enters into a technical tie-up with Unimation, Inc. of the United States. Kawasaki begins operations as Japan’s pioneer robot manufacturer.
1969 Kawasaki Heavy Industries begins manufacturing and selling Japan’s first industrial robots.
July 1986 Kawasaki Heavy Industries’ robot-related maintenance and after-sales service division is spun off to form Kawasaki Robotics, Inc.
March 2001 Kawasaki Heavy Industries’ robot sales division and Kawasaki Gas Turbine Service Technos, a gas turbine maintenance and after-sales service company, merge with Kawasaki Machine Systems, Ltd.
April 2012 The maintenance and after-sales service division for robots is separated from Kawasaki Machine Systems, Inc. and established as Kawasaki Robot Service Co.At the same time, the robot sales division begins trading as Kawasaki Heavy Industries Robot Business Center.
Dec 2015 Exhibited “K-COMMIT - Kawasaki Robot Safe Life Cycle Support -“ which aims for zero downtime of robot equipment using IoT as the service division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. at the 2015 International Robot Exhibition.
