A top pressure recovery turbine plant is an excellent energy-saving facility used at ironworks. Kawasaki Heavy Industries, as a pioneer developer of top pressure recovery turbine plants, has provided these facilities to major ironworks all over the world, thus helping preserve the global environment. This paper presents the development of our top pressure recovery turbine plants and some related key technologies developed to date.
