Directors and Executive Officers to Change

TOKYO, February 21, 2008 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. has announced that, based on decisions made at a Board of Directors meeting earlier today, the following Representative Directors will be appointed to new positions effective April 1, 2008:
The Kawasaki Board of Directors also decided today that executive officer Mitsutoshi Takao will be nominated as Director at the Kawasaki Shareholders’ Meeting in late June 2008. Subject to approval at the meeting, Takao will then be appointed Senior Vice President. The Company will also name Nobuyuki Okazaki as Corporate Auditor at the meeting, since current auditor Tadao Ueda is resigning. In late June, Terasaki and Noguchi will resign their new positions to become a Senior Strategic Advisor and an Advisor, respectively. In addition, the Company also announced that the following management changes will become effective April 1, 2008.
